KEN ROSENTHAL

THAT WAS THE RIVER, THIS IS THE SEA

2010

With this series, Rosenthal reflects upon changes in his personal life that ultimately cause him to consider his own mortality. This highly personal endeavor examines, not from a negative standpoint, but rather as an observation of it being part of one's life cycle.

With this work also, the artist departs from his previous diffused printing style, making an aesthetic shift that he describes as "challenging and liberating".
