Lynn Silverman (b. 1952) received her BFA from Pratt Institute and her MA in Fine Art from Goldsmith's College, London. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Europe, Australia and the UK. In 2010, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the Czech Republic.
Lynn Silverman lives and works in Baltimore.
1999 – 2003
The photographs in Lightheaded record a bulb’s interaction with other actual or reflected lights, thus making it possible to explore the boundary between the various light sources. Through the action of light, this boundary becomes more fluid. The images generate a dialogue between such qualities as opacity and transparency, individuality and commonality among others.
