TARA CRONIN — ARCHETYPAL
I often work combining my images with my blood and with 'plant blood'—chlorophyll. In this project, the language of myth permeates like a distant echo of our very origins; artifacts speak to the idea that this tool can never quite leave our instinctual artillery, outlining a roadmap to life. I write and draw rhythms onto each print; like a musical score there are rests and crescendos. This is a way to explore an archetypal language—not written nor verbal; one all life shares. Whatever that may be [ dark-matter, starstuff? ], blood, an elemental, life-giving material, is where it begins.
