FORMS AND RECORDS (B&W)
Fogelson explores his interest in the physicality of the photograph with the formal exploration of objects, and their re-presentation as photograms. With Forms and Records (B&W) he made photograms of scale-model architectural forms, together with 1950s-1060s vintage 7” vinyl records (45’s).
The photograms were made using Silver Gelatin paper and the series was the final project to be completed in the original darkroom of the New Bauhaus, which was in the basement of the S. R. Crown Hall—designed by the German-American Modernist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe—at the Institute of Design/IIT campus (Chicago), before the area was remodeled
