HABITAT MACHINES
The ‘Habitat Machines' series is a wonderful reconfiguration of familiar household objects into fantastical buildings that appear huge and weighty in their re-scaling. With a sense of retro notstalgia, welded with a sci-fi vision, his hyper-reality is at once endearing, eerie and fun. His improbable structures are constructed from indiviudal photographs he makes of the components of mechanical and electronic objects. With the addition of other elements like windows and trees, they are then placed into a fictional landscape.
